Regulatory assessment

EU Chemicals & Materials Assessment

Substances and materials: clarify the evidence your product needs.

Composition, intended use and supply-chain facts determine which substance and material requirements need checking. This assessment structures supported REACH, RoHS and food-contact routes, identifying missing data, evidence and verification steps.

Identify applicable EU material and substance requirements, required declarations, evidence gaps and necessary verification steps.

One assessment case · 180 calendar days of active editing access from purchase · two substantive report snapshots, each as a German and an English PDF.

Your practical benefits

Establish the material context: Connect the product, components and material configuration.

Focus evidence work: Structure declarations, restriction questions and unresolved substance data.

Prioritise clarification: Identify external checks, supplier questions and next actions.

From material information to a traceable review agenda

A supplier declaration alone does not resolve every substance or material question. The assessment connects known material and use facts with supported regulatory routes. Dynamic list states, unclear substance data and unsupported specialist regimes remain explicit matters for clarification.

What you receive

A case-specific chemicals and materials report with supported regulatory findings, declaration and evidence needs, data gaps and prioritised verification and follow-up actions.

Two substantive report snapshots are provided for one case, each with a German and an English PDF. Retrieving an existing PDF does not create a new report snapshot.

How it works

  1. Describe the product, components, material configuration, intended use and markets.
  2. Record known substance and material data and supplier evidence.
  3. Work through requirements, source and evidence questions and the next verification steps.

Who it is for

Manufacturers, importers, materials engineering, procurement, quality and Regulatory Affairs teams, including electronics, plastics and food-contact businesses.

Good to know

No laboratory analysis, migration testing or identification of materials without reliable source data. Full CLP, POPs, biocidal-products or F-gas deep assessment is not included. An existing declaration does not automatically establish legal sufficiency.

The 180-day period covers active case editing and creating the included report snapshots. It does not promise continuous legal monitoring or determine data-deletion periods. The agreed retrieval entitlement applies to stored reports.

Frequently asked questions

Are unknown substances identified automatically?

No. Missing substance and material data remain explicit clarification points.

Does this fully cover every chemicals regime?

No. Supported routes apply; another regime is not treated as inapplicable simply because it is outside coverage.

Does the report replace laboratory testing?

No. It helps structure the evidence and external verification needed for the specific case.
