Regulatory assessment

EU Digital Product Regulatory Assessment

Connected products, software and AI: bring the regulatory tasks together.

Cybersecurity, radio functions, data access and AI can trigger different requirements. This assessment connects the supported digital regulatory routes for your product or related service and identifies implementation needs, evidence gaps and next actions.

Identify relevant EU cybersecurity, connected-product, data and AI requirements, including supporting evidence and next steps.

One assessment case · 180 calendar days of active editing access from purchase · two substantive report snapshots, each as a German and an English PDF.

Your practical benefits

Connect the issues: Consider supported cyber, data and AI questions together.

Clarify roles and timing: Account for product, service and lifecycle context.

Prepare work packages: Prioritise evidence and unresolved implementation questions.

One digital product — several regulatory perspectives

A software function or data connection alone does not establish the duties in a specific case. The assessment relates known technical facts, roles and timing to supported CRA, RED, Data Act and AI Act routes, keeping unresolved boundaries explicit.

What you receive

A focused digital-product report with a regulatory overview, reasoned findings, implementation and evidence requirements and prioritised actions.

Two substantive report snapshots are provided for one case, each with a German and an English PDF. Retrieving an existing PDF does not create a new report snapshot.

How it works

  1. Describe product and service boundaries, software, connectivity and AI functions.
  2. Record operator roles, data flows, lifecycle context and known evidence.
  3. Work through the supported routes, unresolved issues and next implementation tasks.

Who it is for

Connected-device manufacturers, software and product teams, machinery and automation suppliers and cybersecurity, data and AI leads.

Good to know

No blanket cybersecurity certification or complete review of every digital legal issue. Enterprise-wide regimes such as NIS2 address a different decision perspective. Medical-device and other specialist domains are not silently treated as fully covered.

The 180-day period covers active case editing and creating the included report snapshots. It does not promise continuous legal monitoring or determine data-deletion periods. The agreed retrieval entitlement applies to stored reports.

Frequently asked questions

Must my product have every listed function?

No. The relevant supported routes depend on the specific product and service facts.

Is this a full corporate NIS2 assessment?

No. It focuses on digital products and related services rather than enterprise-wide applicability.

Does the assessment consider lifecycle changes?

It considers the stated lifecycle and relevant change questions within its supported scope; automatic ongoing monitoring is not promised.
